Bio

With more than 30 years of experience in the basement waterproofing and foundation repair industry, Ron Greenbaum has helped build and grow the hugely successful brand, The Basement Doctor. He also the co-owner of Nash Distribution, a supplier to foundation repair, basement, mold and crawl space contractors across the United States and Canada. Throughout his career, Ron has developed formulas for success that have made his competition take notice. In an industry not always known for its ethical practices, he has established a long-standing reputation for responsible, honest and quality service. While serving on the ethics committee for the National Association of Waterproofing Contractors from 1994 to 1996, he helped to create the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice for the entire basement waterproofing industry in North America. In 1999, Ron introduced the national trademark, “The Basement Doctor.” He continues to be the face of his company’s trademark, appearing in major advertising campaigns for print, radio and television. He is often consulted by leading trade publications and website for trusted tips and expert home improvement advice. But perhaps it is Ron’s philanthropic contributions which stand out the most. He supports many charities and community efforts, including Habitat for Humanity, Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Special Olympics, Maria’s Message, Honor Flight, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He also holds a special place in his heart for animals, and has helped launch and support many animal rescue and adoption programs throughout the state of Ohio.
